Who Am I In Christ?
If you've read my previous blog post on my origin story, you must already know by now that I have previously suffered from a lack of identity for many years since my adoption.
However, God has been gracious and merciful over the years been teaching me about my identity in Jesus Christ. If you are on this journey of finding yourself in Christ, I highly encourage you to allow him in every area of your life.
The journey of finding myself came with many mistakes, tears, heartaches, cutting off the flesh, time, healing, and perseverance. But I hope that despite the many challenges, you will stand strong in the face of opposition. This journey of discovering “Who You Are In Christ” is enriching and living-giving.
Inspired by Joyce Meyer's own list of "Who Am I in Christ".
I have customized my own here (click on this link to download word doc.) I would highly encourage you to personalize yours. Only keep what applies to your circumstances and allow the holy spirit to lead you to the scriptures.
Once you have completed your list, print them all and read them over and over yourself. At first, I had a copy everywhere in my house and one carry it in my bag.
Every time you hear the nagging voice of the enemy in your mind telling you that you are not good, not smart enough, or just outrageous lies. Read these scriptures out loud to yourself.
I hope this helps you, and please do share your stories of finding identity in Christ via email emiyltalksfaith@gmail.com or IG message me. I would love to hear your story!
Love, Emily
